The People of the Feed the Hungry Program

Volunteers are the backbone of the Feed the Hungry Program and they are drawn from every walk of life. At a typical Sunday Dinner it would not be uncommon to see teachers, students, car salesmen or engineers cutting vegetables together. A volunteer might be peeling carrots with an energy company CEO, slicing ham with the Rotary Club or preparing desserts with members of a local family.

Sponsoring organizations normally provide the bulk of volunteers but when they cannot, businesses, churches, service organizations, large families and sororities are waiting to fill the gaps as needed. The Feed the Hungry Program also maintains a roster of volunteers who offer their services on a weekly, occasional or drop-in basis.
